Star Wars has one of the most divided fan bases. On one side, some fans are defending Star Wars content. And on the other side, some fans are not enjoying the recent Star Wars content. However, we believe that there are a few scenes in Star Wars that we can collectively agree are just… dumb. Hopefully, for once, we can all stand united in this article.
Looney Toon Chase Scene With Leia
In the first episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi series, there is a scene where Princess Leia is about to be kidnapped. This scene was horribly directed.
In this chase scene, the audience are expected to believe that a ten year-old kid is able to outrun four grown adults. The scene is cartoonishly awful. Leia slides under a tree branch and the kidnapper just stops chasing, instead of, gee, I don’t know, maybe hunch a little? And then the other kidnapper just climbed over a fallen tree and just got face-planted for no reason at all.
An Episode Dedicated For a Minor Character
When you click on a show entitled ‘The Mandalorian’, you’re expected to see the Mandalorian. However, in The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 3, a minor villain that appeared for a miniscule amount of time two seasons ago has an entire episode for himself. This character is Dr Pershing, if anyone forgets.
This episode spent its entire runtime failing to develop this character. He was supposed to do some good with his cloning technology but failed almost immediately. His actions have no conclusion nor any impact to the overall story of Mandalorian Season 3.
Moff Gideon Explaining His Evil Plan… After It Failed
The final episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 is a mess… It is shown that the bad guy, Moff Gideon, is able to detect the Mandalorian’s location in his base with no problem at all. And yet, the Mandalorian is able to go to Moff’s lab, which is completely unguarded by the way, and destroy all of Moff’s clones because apparently there’s a self-destruct button that Moff specifically made.
Then, Mandalorian meets Moff. In this scene, Moff explains to Mandalorian that his evil plan is to absorb all of Grogu’s power and put them in his own clones. Moff seems very proud in explaining his plan… but for what? His entire lab was already destroyed.
The Final Battle Against Pyke Syndicate
In the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett, the villagers are attacked by giant robots with powerful blasters. They have impenetrable shields. No blaster can hurt them. But get this: they are really slow. So slow that you can outrun them on foot. You might be thinking that the smartest thing to do is to just evacuate.
But, no. They decided to be close to the robots, exposing themselves to danger, and keep shooting at the robot although it’s made clear that the robots’ shields are impenetrable.
The Trench Coat
In the fourth episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi… I gave up and decided I couldn’t finish the series.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, a former general of the Republic with countless experience in wars, comes up with a genius plan to save Princess Leia. He wears a giant trench coat and hides her underneath it. And then he walks around the Empire’s base, which is full of Stormtroopers. And at this point, an intruder alert is alarming. Everyone in the base knows that there are intruders in the base!
But the worst part is Obi-Wan has the audacity to be surprised when he’s caught by the Inquisitors.
This scene genuinely makes me hope that Darth Vader would just force drag me across the burning glass instead of Obi-Wan.
