PUBG MOBILE is celebrating friendship on a global scale with the launch of FRIEND FEST, a hybrid online and offline event that has already made history. The popular mobile battle royale has officially broken a Guinness World Record™, marking the occasion with a worldwide celebration that connects players both inside the game and beyond the screen.
Launched on Jan 23 and running until Feb 16, FRIEND FEST is designed to highlight the bonds formed through PUBG MOBILE. The event blends in-game experiences with real-world activities, transforming teamwork and camaraderie into shared moments across borders.
A global handshake that made history
To kick off FRIEND FEST, PUBG MOBILE organised a Guinness World Record™ attempt for the Most Pairs Performing a Choreographed Handshake across multiple venues. On Jan 25, a total of 392 players participated simultaneously across four public spaces in Jakarta, Istanbul, Cairo, and Islamabad, each chosen for its cultural significance and community presence.
The record-breaking handshake symbolised more than coordination. It reflected how players from different cultures and backgrounds are united through shared experiences, reinforcing the strength of PUBG MOBILE’s global community.

In-Game Celebrations Turn the Battlegrounds Pink
Inside the game, FRIEND FEST introduces limited-time features focused on cooperation and shared moments. Players can check in at Bonding Tree checkpoints in Erangel and Livik, triggering pink visuals and themed stage performances that change depending on the number of players present.
Players can also collect and gift floral arrangements to teammates as a sign of friendship. Items such as the Fated Dance Bouquet and Surprise Bouquet unlock single-match rewards and cosmetic items, letting players express their style while celebrating Valentine’s Day together.
Offline Events Bring the PUBG MOBILE Community Together
FRIEND FEST extends into real-world experiences across regions including Western Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Special FRIEND FEST flower shops allow players to receive free flowers by showing PUBG MOBILE-related content, bringing the spirit of the event into everyday life.
In Türkiye, players gathered for the SUPER HANDSHAKE EVENT featuring flower-making workshops and themed photo zones, offering fans a chance to express creativity while meeting fellow players.

Paris River Cruise and Regional Community Activities
Celebrations also reached Paris, where players and creators joined a community river cruise along the Seine. Interactive challenges inspired by PUBG MOBILE gameplay highlighted how competition can translate into playful real-world experiences.
In Indonesia, FRIEND FEST continues with community-driven events from Jan 25 to Feb 25. Experience Zones hosted at selected cafes allow players to join tournaments and creative matches, while special attractions at Lapangan Banteng Park include custom pan design challenges and one-on-one Glass Room battles.
Celebrating Connection Beyond Competition
With FRIEND FEST, PUBG MOBILE shifts the focus from competition to connection, showing how games can foster meaningful relationships across borders. From breaking world records to sharing flowers with teammates, the event highlights friendship as one of the game’s most powerful mechanics.
PUBG MOBILE’s FRIEND FEST runs until Feb 16. The game is available to download and play for free on the App Store and Google Play Store.
