Samsung S25 Edge
Samsung S25 Edge has been officially launched. Packing all new OneUI 17 and Android 15, it is finally out there for Samsung fans who are eagerly waiting for the Edge version of the phone to finally buy it.
The reviewers have already tried and tested out the phone for everyone to see. The specs for this phone is nothing extraordinary, but it does intrigue many to try out the phone for themselves, considering the perks that the phone can offer.
S25 Edge Specifications

Its dimensions are 158.2 x 75.6 x 5.8 mm, making it notably thin, and it weighs 163g (about the weight of a bar of soap, or your everyday phone). The phone is built with a glass front featuring Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, a titanium frame, and a glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is also designed with IP68 dust and water resistance, allowing immersion up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.
For its display, the Galaxy S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

Samsung S25 Edge has a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of approximately 513 ppi. The device is powered by the Qualcomm SM8750-AB Snapdragon 8 Elite (3 nm) chipset, which is described as the most powerful processor on a Galaxy smartphone (by far) and customised for Galaxy.
This octa-core CPU is paired with an Adreno 830 GPU, and the phone comes with 12GB of RAM and internal storage options of 256GB or 512GB (without a card slot, unfortunately).
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy S25 Edge has a dual rear camera setup. It includes a high-resolution 200 MP wide-angle camera with an f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and multi-directional phase detection auto-focus (PDAF). It also has a 12 MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. There are no telephoto cameras, unfortunately, for the portrait enthusiast.
The camera system is enhanced by the ProVisual Engine and Galaxy AI. Video recording capabilities include 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60/120fps, and 1080p up to 240fps.
The front-facing selfie camera is a 12 MP wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and dual pixel PDAF, capable of recording 4K video at 30/60fps.

The battery is a 3900 mAh unit, which one source notes is less than the smaller Galaxy S25. It supports 25W wired charging with PD and QC2.0, able to reach 55% charge in 30 minutes, and 15W wireless charging (Qi2 Ready). Connectivity options include 5G, eSIM support (max 2 at a time), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C 3.2 port.
It also has GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS positioning. Other features include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display, stereo speakers, Samsung DeX, and Ultra Wideband (UWB) support.
AI Features on Samsung S25 Edge and Other Things

The phone incorporates various AI features from the Galaxy S25 Series, such as Audio Eraser to remove background noise in videos, Now Brief for personalised daily summaries, Gemini Live for real-time information, and seamless task completion across apps using Google Gemini. Data security is handled by the Personal Data Engine, which encrypts primary data locally with Knox Vault, and enhanced security across connected devices using Knox Matrix Trust Chain technology.
The All-new One UI 7 features the Now Bar for quick access to information and alerts, highly-customisable home screen layouts with redesigned widgets, and live notifications. The Galaxy S25 Edge is available in three colours: Titanium Silver, Titanium Icyblue, and Titanium Jetblack.
Verdict

In the US, its price starts from $1,099.99 before trade-in. Unfortunately, it is not in Malaysia—at least not yet. Samsung S25 Edge is available in the United States, South Korea, Australia and China for now.
If you’re in Malaysia, best to wait until it is released. But you have to take into account a number of things, too. S25 FE is coming out soon, and there are features on that upcoming phone that might be better than the ones in S25 Edge. But if you are planning on sticking to S25 Edge, then there’s no harm either, especially if you’re opting for the Snapdragon chipset rather than the Samsung Exynos that is supposedly going to be on the FE model. Regardless, it’s up to you.
