A new live image has surfaced online, purportedly showcasing the camera module of the upcoming Huawei Pura 80 Ultra. The leak offers a glimpse into what could be the next flagship device in Huawei’s Pura series, previously known as the P-line before its recent rebranding.
The image, shared by a tipster on social media, reveals a distinctive circular camera housing with multiple lenses and sensors. While the exact specifications remain unconfirmed, the design appears to align with Huawei’s premium aesthetics, featuring a glossy finish and what seems to be a periscope zoom lens.

Industry insiders speculate that the Pura 80 Ultra will continue Huawei’s focus on advanced photography capabilities, possibly incorporating an enhanced XMAGE imaging system for superior low-light performance and AI-assisted processing. Additionally, the device is expected to run on HarmonyOS, Huawei’s proprietary operating system, with top-tier hardware to rival other flagship smartphones.
For context, the Pura 70 Ultra debuted with a 50MP main sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP macro telephoto camera. It boasted a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1260 × 2844 pixels, powered by the Kirin 9010 chipset—built on a 7nm process. On the battery front, the device packed a 5,200mAh cell with support for 100W wired fast charging.

In China, the Pura 80 Ultra will likely start around ¥9,999–¥10,999 (about RM5-7k), mirroring the Pura 70 Ultra’s launch price. The Pura 70 Ultra launched at ¥9,999 (~RM4,719) with a high-end triple-camera setup. If the Pura 80 Ultra includes upgrades like 10x periscope zoom, a dual-layer OLED display, or faster charging (120W), a 5–10% price increase would be reasonable. However, Huawei may keep costs stable in China while adjusting international prices due to currency fluctuations and tariffs.
Taking all factors into account, the most probable price range is $1,200–$1,500 globally, with China remaining close to ¥10,000. A higher-tier variant with satellite connectivity or advanced AI features could push the premium model beyond this range. Additionally, limited availability in Western markets might drive up grey-market prices for imported units.
Huawei has yet to officially confirm the existence of the Pura 80 Ultra, but if the leak proves accurate, an announcement could be imminent. Fans of the brand will be keen to see how the new model builds upon its predecessors, particularly in camera innovation and design.
