The initial league phase will unfold in Jakarta, Indonesia, over two intense weeks of competition, from Wednesday to Sunday. Only the top 16 teams from this stage will secure a coveted spot in the Grand Finals, taking place live from 20 to 22 June at the iconic BASKETHALL GBK in Gelora, Central Jakarta. PMSL SEA Summer 2025 will see the return of TECNO as the Official Smartphone Partner, delivering powerful performance for all participants. CelcomDigi also joins the tournament as the Official Connectivity Partner, ensuring seamless, lag-free gameplay throughout the event.

This season introduces the “Smash Rule,” intensifying the weekly league matches. The 24 participating teams are split into three dynamic groups, with only the strongest 16 each week qualifying for the Super Weekend—a stage where the competition becomes even more fierce and unforgiving.

In a significant development, PMSL SEA Summer 2025 will serve as the official qualifying tournament for the upcoming Esports World Cup. This adds an extra layer of prestige and pressure, as teams must now not only chase prize money but also a chance to represent the region on the global stage.

Each Super Weekend begins with six matches on Day 1. A Match Point threshold will be established by adding 10 points to the total of the first-ranked team. On Day 2, any team that hits this threshold and secures a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) will be declared the weekly champion. If no team meets this condition, play will continue for up to eight matches, with the highest-scoring team crowned victor.

Malaysia will be strongly represented in Jakarta, with six outstanding teams making their way to the international stage: CelcomDigi Alliance (CDAL), SEM9, HomeBois (HB), Maqna Esports Club (MEC), New Era (NWE), and Todak (TDK). CDAL and SEM9 return with line-ups that earned them Top 5 finishes in the previous season, while the other teams arrive with revamped rosters and high aspirations.

HomeBois have retained rising star Syamil while introducing fresh talent to boost their prospects. Todak brings back the formidable TAMM and has added Indonesian powerhouse FRENTZY, a two-time champion with BOOM Esports. Maqna Esports Club enters with the seasoned leadership of VOKEY, marking a promising return to the PMSL SEA stage. New Era, champions in their own right, will also be in the hunt for regional dominance.

Rising Star Rayyan Joins Regional Giants

As the MVP and top fragger of the recent PMNC MY, RAYYAN is widely regarded as a future legend, following in the footsteps of greats like UHIGH and ADIKLUQ.

Words of Support from Tencent Games

Eugene Chin, Country Manager (Malaysia) at Tencent Games, expressed pride in Malaysia’s representation. “We are extremely proud of the Malaysian teams that have reached this level,” he said. “I also want to extend my gratitude to our generous sponsors for making this competition possible, and I wish the Malaysian teams the very best of luck.”
